All projects were written by David J. Stein, Esq., and are works of sole authorship except where otherwise noted. These are non-commercial works, written mostly during free time, or in the context of a graduate school course. In most cases, the motivation behind the project was either simple curiosity, or a need to accomplish a related goal (many of the software applications were developed to fill an unmet need.)

All of these projects are made available to you free of charge, subject to the terms and conditions of one of two forms of software license. In most cases, the "Open License" applies, which permits fairly liberal use and distribution of the work, but solely for non-commerical purposes. In a few cases, a more restrictive "Closed License" applies that prohibits further distribution. The appropriate license document is included in the project package, and of course the current versions of both license documents are available on this website. The terms and conditions may change without notice, and subsequent versions posted here supersede the terms and conditions of the license included in the software packages.
